Bad Luck

This nice sharp new twin engine RC model airplane was ready for it's very first flight today.

Everything seemed to check out and it made a picture perfect takeoff then about two seconds into the flight all hades broke through. It rolled inverted and dove into the ground.
After crash investigation showed that the wing ailerons were hooked up backwards.

I was invited to attend Christmas dinner with my sweet baby sister and bro-in-law and their baby Little Belle over in Fairhope. Brenda had prepared a very delicious meal and even saved me my favorite turkey parts lol. Little Belle was showing off her new holiday dress and had been looking for me all morning according to Robert.
After dinner had settled, we went to the movie theater up in Malbis. There was a crowd in line for tickets and we finally got in to see the new Avatar movie and it was in 3D mode with the special glasses for everyone to wear. I enjoyed the movie and the 3D thing worked well with good depth added to scenes.

Aerial Camera Platform On RC Aircraft

TJR's camera carrying electric motor powered kite airplane did it's job this past weekend.


He took several nice aerial photos of the local RC flying field.

The kite plane had a fly away never to be seen again, maybe because it left town on the interstate at about 80 MPH.

New Airport Cafe Grand Opening

With the opening of a new cafe/lounge at the local RC flying field, the guys will be more comfortable between flights before braving the elements .

Coldest Place In Solar System

The Moon has the coldest place in the Solar System measured by a spacecraft.

It found mid-winter, night-time surface temperatures inside the coldest craters in the northern polar region can dip as low as minus 249C (26 Kelvin).
