My First YouTube Movie

I tried my hand at making a video out of multiple clips with transitions and such.
Used "Video Encoder" program to convert the .MOV video files from my camera to .WMV file type so that they would be compatible with the WMM program.
And then uploaded to YouTube.
I used the simple Windows Movie Maker program.

I am happy with how it turned out for a first effort.

Saints Win Superbowl, Who Dat

It was a great game, I like it when my team gets in a hole and then work themselves out of it to win nicely.
The old timers of "The Who" band were trying hard to still rock down during half time. I was scared that Pete Townshend (64) might loose his teeth on one of those jumps.

Visit With Friends, Four Legged And Otherwise

Saturday was watching the hot Danica Patrick racing with the NASCAR guys.
A couple of pork roasts were fresh off the smoker and resting. Potatoes were simmering and Rene was whipping up her famous cole slaw and Tony had peanuts boiling. I had an appetizer of corn flakes & milk then on to pork steak dressed with mustard, stuffed potato, cole slaw, beer, and ice cream.
Makenzie and Peanut finally posed for a picture.

A clown fish was off in his own world. My pal, little Macie, always cozies up next to me because she knows that I will share tastie tid bits with her and we play "Chase The Ball". Caught red handed, while we were off to the grocery store where we almost bought a jar of pickled pig lips, Macie had found my cell phone and moved it into her dog house that she shares here with Molly. True story, I just glanced in the dog house and mentioned that the dogs had a cell, upon closer inspection, it turned out to be mine.

Senior Bowl Party

I was lucky to get invited to a Senior Bowl watching get together at the Farmers, where they had the NFL channel. Nice and comfortable and warm place to watch the game.
We had T-Bone steak, fried Onion Rings, and Taco Soup, Yum Yum.

The puppy dogs and sea creatures did not seem overly excited by the game at all.

The disappointing South Team's loss to the North was negated somewhat by watching "Major Pain" and some other funny movie, I forget the name. It was about an Ice Hockey player who tried his hand at playing golf to win some money to save his granny's home.

Nephew Tony's Visit South

My nephew Tony Scott, born and raised in New York, was down to visit his father in Florida and drove over for a few days to visit with his mom (my sister) in Fairhope. He is a real BAMA fan from when he was a kid.
Tony and my Bro-In-Law Robert are going to the Senior Bowl game tomorrow, will be cold, bundle up.
I was over for a visit and dinner, some very good BBQed Ribs and fixings were served up and I enjoyed it all. While being served Peach Cobbler and Ice Cream, we watched a scary ghost show on TV till the passing thunder/rain storm passed overhead and knocked out the satellite till the show was just finishing up. Then we retired to Robert's BAMA/computer room to read e-mails and surf this "Donnavon" blog.

Movies And Dinner

Recently I was invited out to the Farmer's homestead for dinner and movies.
Tony and Rene had cooked up some very good grub and I ate my share for sure.
The movies were "Race To Witch Mountain" and "Yes Man", I had not seen them before and they were enjoyable.
Looks like Tony put a little too much "Texas Pete" hot sauce on his food, had to blow some to cool off the tongue. And Rene does not like her picture taken, so I had to be quick.

They have three such well mannered dogs who even patiently take turns going for a snooze under a heating pad.
I had fish, grilled pork tenderloin, cole slaw, beans & rice, and beverage. And also a few goodies from Rene's snack closet. :)

ACMA Meeting

Yesterday was the ACMA monthly meeting/eating at Golden Coral restaurant.
On the way there, I dropped by a Marine Fish Aquarium store and took a picture of some mean looking creatures.
We had a nice turnout of members for the meeting and they ate plenty and we had an enjoyable meeting.
I had a couple of plates of a wide variety of food.
It was Applewood Grill night and it all looked and smelled so good that I tried to sample way too many dishes.

Metal Scale Detail Galore!!!

Not RC, but scale model airplane dear to our hearts.
Scratch built all aluminum scale airplanes built by retired dentist.
Had to be a labor of love considering the time that must have been involved to fabricate all those little parts and assemble.
